I treat your personal and reproductive information with care, respect, and confidentiality. This Privacy Policy explains what information I collect through this website and in the course of providing my services, why I collect it, how it is handled and protected, and the choices and rights available to you.
I collect only the information reasonably necessary to operate this website, communicate with you, manage my practice, and provide the services you request.
Website & Technical InformationWhen you visit this website, certain technical information may be processed automatically by the website hosting, security, and other essential systems that allow the site to function. This may include information associated with your web request, such as your IP address, browser information, the page requested, and the date and time of the request. This information is used to operate, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the website.
I do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or other deliberate behavioural advertising or visitor-tracking tools to monitor your activity across the website.
Interest List & Future OfferingsIf you choose to subscribe to updates about upcoming services, workshops, resources, or future offerings, you voluntarily provide basic contact information such as your first name and email address. This information is used to send you communications related to my practice. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe option, and you may withdraw your consent to receive them at any time.
Contact FormsWhen you submit a general inquiry through the website, you may provide your name, email address, and whatever information you choose to include in your message. This information is used to understand and respond to your inquiry and to communicate with you about your request. Contact-form submissions are not added to marketing lists without your separate consent.
Client AgreementsWhen you enter into a service relationship with me, you may provide information such as your full legal name, email address, phone number, mailing address, consent selections, and electronic signature. This information is used to establish and administer the service agreement, maintain appropriate business records, and document the terms of our working relationship.
Client Intake & Reproductive InformationIf you complete a client intake form, you may choose to provide personal and sensitive information about your reproductive health, fertility journey, lifestyle, wellbeing, goals, and relevant history. I collect this information only to prepare for and provide the fertility doula services you have requested, and to make our work together responsive to the information you choose to share.
You are not required to disclose information that you are not comfortable providing. Please share only what feels appropriate for the purpose of our work together.
Calendar Booking & SchedulingWhen you schedule a consultation or session through my booking system, information such as your name, email address, phone number, selected appointment time, and time-zone information may be collected. This information is used to manage my schedule, send booking confirmations and reminders, and facilitate the appointment and any associated virtual meeting arrangements.
Practice CommunicationFor practical session logistics, such as letting me know that you are running late or communicating about an immediate appointment matter, you may contact me by email. Email is used for brief, logistical messages related to appointments and sessions.
PaymentsIf you pay for services by e-transfer, payment information is processed through your financial institution. I may retain information necessary to document payment, maintain accurate business records, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
I aim to collect and use personal information in a clear and meaningful way, and to obtain consent appropriate to the sensitivity of the information involved.
Website & General Inquiries: When you voluntarily submit a general inquiry, I use the information you provide to respond to you and address your request.
Sensitive Information: When you choose to provide reproductive, health-related, or other sensitive personal information through a client intake or other service-related form, that information is used for the purposes explained at the point of collection and in this Privacy Policy.
Marketing Communications: Email updates about future offerings are sent only when you have chosen to subscribe. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in the email or by contacting me directly.
Service Agreements: Your agreement to receive services and your consent to the collection and use of information necessary to provide those services are addressed through the service agreement and associated forms. An electronic signature on a service agreement confirms your agreement to that contract; it does not replace the separate privacy information and consent practices described here.
Practice Communication: Email may be used for brief, non-sensitive questions and administrative communication, including practical session logistics such as letting me know that you are running late or communicating about an immediate appointment matter. Substantive questions, personal disclosures, and support related to your fertility journey are addressed during our scheduled sessions rather than through messaging.
Withdrawing Consent: Where consent is the basis for collecting or using your personal information, you may withdraw that consent by contacting me. Depending on the circumstances, withdrawing consent may affect my ability to continue providing certain services or maintaining an active service relationship. I may also retain information where I am required or permitted to do so for legal, contractual, accounting, or other legitimate purposes.
I use a small number of technology providers to operate my website and practice. Depending on how you interact with me, your information may be processed through services such as:
Website & Hosting: Porkbun and WP Cloud support my domain, website, hosting, and related infrastructure.
Forms: Forminator is used for certain website forms, while Tally may be used for more detailed client intake forms.
Email: My domain email is hosted through Fastmail, which I use for practice-related correspondence.
Scheduling: Cal.com is used to manage appointments, scheduling information, confirmations, and reminders.
Virtual Sessions: Zoom may be used for virtual sessions. Information processed by Zoom is subject to Zoom's own privacy practices and the settings associated with the meeting.
These providers may process personal information on my behalf as necessary to provide their services. I do not sell your personal information, rent it, or disclose it to third parties for their own advertising or unrelated marketing purposes.
Because some of the information I may receive is sensitive, I take reasonable steps to protect it against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, loss, or misuse.
These measures include using password-protected accounts, secure connections for website forms and other online services, access controls, and security features provided by the technology providers I use.
I limit access to client information to what is reasonably necessary for me to operate my practice and provide services. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but I take reasonable precautions appropriate to the nature of the information I hold.
A note about communication: Email is used for ordinary practice communication and brief, non-sensitive questions. Email is not the preferred place to send sensitive reproductive or health information. Please use the designated intake process for information that belongs in your client record, and bring substantive questions or personal matters to your scheduled session.
I retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to provide requested services, to maintain appropriate business and financial records, or to meet legal and contractual obligations.
Different types of information may therefore be retained for different periods. When information is no longer reasonably required and I am not required or permitted to retain it, I will take reasonable steps to securely delete or destroy it.
You have rights regarding the personal information I hold about you. Depending on the circumstances and applicable privacy law, you may request access to the personal information I hold about you, ask that inaccurate information be corrected, ask questions about how your information is being used, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis for the collection or use.
You may also ask me to delete personal information that I am not required or permitted to retain. Certain information may need to be kept for legal, accounting, contractual, or other legitimate purposes.
If you make a privacy request, I may need to verify your identity before providing access to personal information or making changes to it.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, want to understand how your information is being handled, or wish to make a privacy request, please contact me.
I will make reasonable efforts to respond to privacy requests and questions in a timely manner.
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to my practice, website, technology, or applicable privacy requirements. The most current version will be posted on this page with the date of the latest update.
